The stained glasses are called vitrage (French)– glaze, and vitrum (Latin) – glass, and they are colorful paintings on glass. These works are part of the decorative and fine art that uses colorful pieces of glass, arranged in different mosaic compositions.
Stained glasses usually replace the window-glasses in the Christian churches. They picture scenes from the Bible, or some Christian painted symbols.
